the perfect life is in a little shack in ohio, in a small cornfield across from a pastor and his wife, who have recently moved. luckily his youth group has followed him, or at least some of it. the shack isn't much, but a kitchen, and 3 rooms for beds. the cable isn't set up and problaly won't be for a while. laura would be cooking in the kitchen, for the problem she is only one who can. breakfasts are short, and quick, for the group of misfits have to scurry over to the pastors house to be home schooled. laura would do it, except for the fact that she can't legally be a teacher yet. after school the group gets home. jack, starts working on his music and stuff in the house until nils banishes him to the field, for the complaint that its to noisy. it would be best thought, since kaley is in her and lauras room writing. she can't get a large pay until she finishes her book and types it up on the old computer. she has to take it over to pastors house to print in a few days when its done and send it into an editing company. nils is still applying for a job, hopefully one with a large pay. it needs to be enough to afford food for the group. calista, would be managing food supply. more of a runner for the "family." she can get food, and keep a clean schedule. laura is more of a mother type girl, taking control of the group when needed. they need her, and she knows it. it could be stored away and used for a threat later. as night turns around, laura settles into bed, and kaley stays up at the desk. nils sneaks in under the bed, in fear of sleeping with jack, another boy. calista is in her own bedroom, drifting off to sleep, to the sound of animals outside the run down shack. kaley continues to write, until her pencil breaks, and she lets out a deep sigh, setting it down. she puts her stuff away, and crawls into bed and falls asleep.
even bought, everyone in the small house understands it will be hard, and that the pastor can't support them forever, they all have high hopes. the shack is perfect, and even though there is no indoor plumbing, and would probably cave in during a wind storm, its perfect. the perfect shack, for a perfect life.
